Zer0 I see you use xfire, I am always on xfire when my PC is on, your'll need arrowhead patched to 1.59, here is a brilliant guide for installing the required addons, start at step #3

Re: ARMA2
ok, so here its what ive done:
installed arma 2 oa and patched up to 1.59
installed everything using addon sync 2009(all mods present in left window except keys)
installed ACRE in arma 2 root folder(same location where other mods are - defaul location)
installed TS3 and checked acre in ts3 plugin
using oa shortcut -mod=@CBA;@ACE;@ACEX;@ACEX_RU;@ACEX_USNavy;@JayArmA2Lib;@ACRE;@UOMods
" ARMA 2 OA HAS STOPPED WORKING"
am i missing something?
LE: managed to start the game using addon sync, but have no ideea on what server do I join :!: and i suspect here are a bunch of keys for that bloody radio
LE1: Sounds n00bish, but everytime i start game using addon sync it connects me to united operations.net_server 1 gameserver.
Any ideeas why i cannot start the game from shortcut?

Re: ARMA2
Zer0 either one of us tends to host a game, it actually isnt really laggy when hosted off a home PC, or we play on the united operations server, Your best off playing with us once to learn how stuff works, and then play on the united operations server, last night Xazper hosted 10 people off his PC, was pretty epic.

Re: ARMA2
We will be keeping arma to set night where we can get togeather and have some organised eopi battles. Having a ArmA2 dedi server running 24/7 is getting away from our main clan game of PR. Plus if we bought it as a clan with donations from players who only play PR and dont have the PC or the game to run it then this would be unfair.
Members are free to play what ever game they like and use the TS but as a clan we pay and play PR first.

Re: ARMA2
So with the news of UO changing to SixUpdater - http://unitedoperations.net/Thread-Using-Six-Updater-with-the-UnitedOperations-Repository
I decided to just do it and it's not a big deal. You have to convert UOMods to use six, takes about 30 seconds. Then a really small update, so I guess they are still using the same version of ACE as through YOMA.
So overall, not a big deal and we should all do it ASAP so we're up to date

Very well. My PC plays ArmA2 on max settings flawlessly and cost me £730. From pcspecalist.com, custom built

Really depends what resolution and fps you wanna play at? But you could get something to play ArmA2 for 700

Re: ARMA2
easy mate, have a look at overclocker.co.uk they do pre overclocked I5 systems running at 3.8ghz with full warranty.
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FS-252-OK&groupid=43&catid=1444&subcat=
with a ATI 6870 £704. just need a copy of windows which I assume you already have.
If you phone them and say you dont need the HDD and DVD as you have one already that might nock enough off for a freshcopy of win7 64 bit.

Re: ARMA2
I have
I7 @ 3.08 GHZ
6GB Ram
GeForce 580
1440x900 monitor
CPU is never above 50%
Ram is never above 30%
gfx card is at >90% (So want another one)
I play with viewdistance 4000-4500m, postprocessing normal, AA low, all else very high.
My FPS is at it's lowest >30 except when looking at a particle-heavy explosions (It'll drop to around 20 sometimes).
DRodders when you say "max" do you mean "mostly max" or "10km view, AA 8x, Post very high kinda max"? I don't want to call you a liar, but you sound like a liar. Especially when you mentioning "arma 2" "max" and "flawless" right after each other

Re: ARMA2
Well, all the settings are set to max. Granted I havn't gone through all the settings to check, but i'm assuming it's all set up to max. It 'occasionally' drops to 30 FPS, but generally runs at 40-60 FPS.
I'm slightly offended that you've called me a liar

Re: ARMA2
This seems to exciting, wish I could play a game like that, seems like it would literally take you a few months to master the most basic aspects of the game.
I'll see what I can do about my PC, but for the while, until December the VERY earliest, I'll be playing PR, which isn't bad.
If you all are gonna expand (even though there hasn't been a talk) I'll help out with the PR part of the clan

Sweet! We so gotta do that.
