battlefield 2 server?

had 2 games tonight and it fully reminded me why i dont play vanilla.

to much game - no immersion, some of the pubbers on must have looked like they were playing the piano whilst they were playing, bunny, dive, bunny, dive, stab, head shot, dive, bunny......rinse and repeat.

sorry not for me, but it was a blast from the past.

by the way vince, where is the server box located ? i got a ping of 38, is it in the UK ?

also i don't know how NwA did the rules in the past but it is possible with Bf2CC to easily kick people for bunny hopping and after a while it is possible to get a bunny hopping free server, just a thought.

Well speed, server is hosted in france I believe, (DO NOT ASK WHY LOL) but if I understand what daze said last night all admins will get CC

thats why we need to keep it to vehicals as it detracts the io bunny hoping macro using tossers lol no tsaid that for a while ...

io mash was getting a few in last night, but it was late. think we should just try that for a few days.

Played today for awhile and it seemed to be nothing but bunny hopping and crouch spmming..I just dont see how thats any fun

No thats no fun at all, but if the server gets popular and easy to seed we can enforce new rules that can prevent that like no dolphin diving and no bunnyhopping

i think we need to have as little rules as possible atm, to get it going. I will be seeding this afternoon after work. Any help is most welcome, if only for half hour just to get it going. Only need 8 players!!!!

as for the rules, if you add rules like that the server will never run ever, ppl wanto play and be able to jump/prone spamm etc etc............other wise dont play IO change it to vehicles

popularity is just that, the popular maps. if memory serves me right the best server my old clan ran (other than our prestige all maps /modded) was a Sharqi/karkand/mashtuur mix, the other popular mix was Dalian/oman/wetlands but these were very heavily modded with a lot of extra aircraft/tanks etc the sharqi/karkand/mash went something like sharqi full, karkand 32 level, mash full. got to about 30th ish on game tracker. we ran with 4 basic rules, bunny hopping, dolphin diving, glitching and hacking and on the larger 'air' maps we ran an anti base rape script. the most successful server we ever had was called 'extreme' where most weapons were 2-5 shot kills with big deviation penalties for 'no scoping' and standing, that server hovered at 15-20th position in gametracker for about one and a half to two years.it was the successor to our famous WYD1, the first 'cracked' and modded Bf2 server, modded by rampage who went on with the then present council to create HOG gaming which then schismed into hardcore gaming (lol) another schism WYD went through produced NRNS. oh the memories hehe

Well I'm back from hols Saturday but working non stop nights till the 12th after that it's free time galore!!!!

Why don't we post this in the news section and on the landing page besides the PR server details? Love to play in a full vanilla server!

well the server is there for people to use, we just need people to help fill it. Maybe we can arrange a BF2 evening, get a few people on and have a laugh....???

next 4 days im free of school work and whatever. I will be playing on the server and filling up, though I need some help with that ..
