Joystick problems

right, so my joystick used to map perfectly fine in 1.41, and have only recently wanted to fly in pr etc (obv on 1.5), so here's the thing, none of the joystick axis will map in the controls tab, now this is apparently to do with EA wanting falcon support, so i went ahead and cleared all of the falcon settings (as it says to in multiple online guides to avert this problem) but still no luck, can't map joystick axis to anything

anyone got a joystick working? if so how?

i have used a joystick before but have not encounter the same problem with mapping. But on a side not its really alot easier to use the mouse and keyboard, i found the joystick not to be a responsive or fluid as the mouse. i recommend that you practice with the mouse and keyboard and im sure the other people who fly like vandal, kop and bang would say the same.

Choppers without a doubt is easier to fly with keyboard / mouse. Fixed wing aircraft are easier with a joystick imo.

Try completely deleting ur profile and recreating ur controls from scratch (keep a backup though)

Wot joystick u have?
Do you have the correct drivers?
Does the stick work with other games?
Do you have any other game related devices plugged in ie game pads?

It has never worked with 1.5 (just really want to use it now)

its a saitek cyborg 3D gold usb (quite old), but always worked well with 1.41 , the correct drivers are installed, it works with other games and the only other thing i have plugged in that is remotely like it is my mouse (a saitek cyborg mouse)

looks like i'll have to get used to mouse and keyboard lol
