[BIG ARMA GAME][Signups] 18th August 2012 20:00

WHEN - 18th August 2012 20:00 (UK TIME)
MISSION - To be announced (Player number dependants), Platoon Operation?
MAX SLOTS - Unknown yet.
MODS - Standard server config (ACRE+ACE+UO)

Purpose
This event is aimed to play as realistically as possible with as many players as possible. I am hoping to get a platoon sized operation 20+ players, but we'll see how many sign up! The main part of the game should last about 2 hours! Roleplaying your character is greatly encouraged!

Arrival time - 19:50 or before
- All players should turn up at least 10 minutes beforehand and be on the server 5 minutes before start time.
- Fireteam Leaders/Squad Leaders to turn up at least 45 minutes before start, you will be contacted ahead of time if you make one of these roles.
- You need to ensure that your game is upto date before the event (recommend updating day before, then re-updating on the day)

Slot Policy
- Slots priority is firstly given to those who have signed up in this thread, on a first come, first served basis.
- If more slots are free and you happen to tag along without having signed up, it will be on a first come first served basis.
- If you fail to get to the mission 9 minutes before start, your signed up slot will be freed up to those on a first come, first served basis.

- Follow orders and chain of command
- Do not teamkill
- Do not fire within 150m of the spawn

Not a total Noob but a long while since I was really into ARMA2 but very willing to be a squaddie if you'll have me.

It's something we talked about briefly yesterday. It might be fun to form a proper platoon and participate in one of the large United Operations missions, like 25v25 or 50v50 players. But for that we're going to need a lot more training and a lot more discipline..

I don't know about the rest of the guys but the UO lot really put me off playing. I tried it once and it was not enjoyable in the slightest. Way too serious. We have enough on Saturday for a few quick TvT missions i reckon, are there any smaller missions in the UO maps set?
