This is a remake of an absolute classic.

I personally prefer Settlers to Age of Empires cos of the greater emphasis on resource management.

Indeed didn't to play them that much online though I did play a bit at school over LAN though. C&C Red alert 2 is another classic strategy game that I did play online a fair bit, at present my preferred strategy is Company of Heroes.
