DayZ Server Donations and Info

Great news mate, can't wait to play.

Just been testing Seattle 24 (hosted by our server provider) it's really really smooth, it's one of their limited 26 player ones but its fantastic was on it for a good half an hour and everything was looting instantly.

Also tried Atlanta 14, also hosted by our server provider. That seemed fine too and it was raining there. Tried dropping stuff had about a 0.5 sec delay and picking up, but that was a 60 player server (their biggest) so looking good, let's hope ours is the same

Last one I tried was Germany 2, the one of 3 EU servers they host, was a bit slower, took a while to load in but was still good when I was in the game

Had 4 donations to our server so far, it's not up yet but i'll give the thumbs up when it's finally going, they said it could take up to 24 hours (about 16 hours to go now)

i can help pay for the server if you want to bring the cost down to £6.01

Good news about the server guys, any idea what the rule set will be? Verteran? 3 rd person? Etc

Vet with 3DP enabled i should imagine as most of us loooooove 3dp xD

Yeah was thinking about that scotty, personally I don't like 3rd person but if its what everyone wants then okie.

Yeah I quite like 3rd person, helps a lot when walking around Zs. Hate crosshairs and names, been caught out sneaking up to a guy only for him to pass his crosshairs over me, see my name and shoot.

Server still isn't up yet, they sent me a PM today though saying it might be delayed a little because they have a few more servers to set up before mine but they are going as fast as they can

I got an SA-50 atm with 25 bullets.. just promised it to Chris for his M4A3. When the server is up ill give you a shout so you can jump on and get an early start with us.

So I was camping at North East Airfield for like couple of hours not moving at all since I had a great position, they even had gunfights near me but I ignored them, SO later then I hear a tractor approaching and 2 guys behind them, I easily pick off the driver and the other two guys who had f*****g everything! MK 48 Mod 0 and loads of maps and bloodbags and loads of other stuff! So I got that all into the tractor and hid it in the forest, that should get you guys get over here

Damn, this game is hard to play. In my like 3rd try, i finally got myself a double barreled shotgun and a makarov with 3 mags but couldn't manage to survive long enough to actually use them :'/.Fell off a goddamn roof.

Well, there's no ranking system in the game. You just spawn by a random coast and scavenge the hell outta the map.

Yeh Nayt its proper zombie apocalyps, even other humans in the game are either friend or foe.

yeah worked it out at 3am, using 6 to update it all, found the server, just waiting to be in the "arma" frame of mind then i'll give it a whirl, according to dayZ front page avg lifespan is 30 minutes, i wonder....

Its diffrent from playing normal ArmA 2 it gets ya ass hole real tight, not only do you have to skulk around hiding from the zombies you ahve to watch every human you meet, get in a friendly groupe and fast.

you dont have one, you need to play on a server in the UK time zone. If its dark where the server is hosted its dark when you play.

Thats why having a server in the US means when most UK players are on at night here its day time in the US. Play on Europe servers during the day.

yeah torch is in the tool belt, however ZOMBIES DO NOT RUN THAT FAST!!!!!!!

Just been having a word with the server hosters about changing the in game time, they said it is possible but the box that mine is on is shared by 2 other servers atm, they said that in order for me to change my time, I need to speak with them first and agree to change it, so I sent them both PM's to move it back an hour or two, see what they think I explained we're english moving to EU soon.

Luckily we have a great group of guys to take out Zeds and Bandits alike. Cant wait to get back on tonight. Like you said Orford, it gets you clenching, especially when you gotta have eyes in the back of your head.

Spawn points are a few possible locations along the coast only. Even camp is never safe, and we shouldn't post about its precise location on a public board. Asking on teamspeak is the best way.

Earlier I mused to Exe that the larger a camp grows, the faster trouble finds it. I think we should keep a variety of smaller camps near raid areas and stay nimble, not put all our eggs in one basket.

I have a tool kit and wire fence roll. Still east of cheno will need a ride.

Our server officially hit 50/50 players today It also had its first hacker ruin it but lucky I was around to stop and restart it, but you can't always expect it to be hacker-free when it's still an alpha.

Would really, really like to thank all those who have donated, we've hit the 2nd month target now.

I especially want to thank the Reds for their support in offering help all the time and Exe for putting up massive donations <3

Had a laugh with Kop and Orford tonight though, Orford got a pedal bike and Kop stole my revolver and axe was a really fun day

do any of you get any problems with "you were kicked off" error? every single server does that to me, tried reinstalling dayz, uninstalled battleye, reinstalled it, still :/

Awesome day today, it was fun as hell.

Things we've learned:

No pubbers in teamspeak unless they've expressed an explicit desire to join the clan, or someone can really REALLY vouch for them.

Especially no pubbers in teamspeak "without a mic" or a muted mic.

Camp secrecy needs to be doubled, nay, tripled.

7Cav and whoever those [MD] cats are our arch-nemeses. I foresee a lot of fun battling these assholes.

can i join in? fixed my problems and now been fending myself off for 2 days (ya, im alive for 2 days now ) with a crossbow and 1 bolt, shoot a Zed and take the bolt for another bas***d who likes the way my brains smell, had a bit of a "FUUUUUUUUUUU" moment when i actually missed and the bolt flew into the woods, to be never seen again, luckily had my hatched and found another bolt, wooo! i need a team, im scared shitless out there alone in the rain
