I joined yesterday, server is very smooth no issues at all. Just made me start to play DayZ again I'll try to get more people in, keep up the good work lads.

server running night cycle now? also are you removing nvgs? or keeping them i know you was keen to remove

Yeah its running night atm.. but later Tonight it might not. It will be back and forth like that I think. There is no way to remove NVG's but if we can all agree not to use them then that would be nice!

ok ye although i also do not want nvgs i wont agree to just not use them because i know other people will and i will just get spanked there is some coding here to remove (well swap) items out for different items however its pretty advanced, way out of my computing level but after all everyone is just going to edit there brightness and gamma any way so its basically light except being black and white i personally think we should just keep it day 24/7 until they make it so brightness/gamma are server side not client.


(Just my view you dont have to change anything i actually really like night time it changes the game completely the lighting from flairs and gun fire just looks amazing but because everyone changes their brightness and gamma settings up i end up just getting randomly killed when i try and play because they can see fine and i cant see the end of my hand so i am in turn forced to up my own setting to have a fighting chance which just means i end up playing a black and white game and everything looks s**t :/

Its a shame but I have to agree.

you can't make brightness/gamma server side and as good as it is turning them up its no where near as good as NVG's, especially when its pitch black.

He said until they make it server side, e.g standalone maybe. And I agree about making it 24/7 day light again, all that happens at night is people just turn gamma up. Like earlier when Delta and midge killed me and vig in pitch black with AS50's..

The only other option would be to add NVG's to the starting gear.

I doubt we will see the standalone for another 6 months. I don't think they will release it until the two get out of prison.

I don't get why the server keeps getting messed with. Some one changes the settings plays for an hour or so then leaves the rest to deal with it. Although atm its seam ok to switch from day to night or night today on each server restart. As long as long when I come some from work its day time.

There enough scripts and cheat already with out encouraging them by running night time a lot. Gammer and grafix tweak will always be done to gain an advantage.

all passwords chancge only me and vandal have it no no no more changes to be done randomly .
