Arma 2 night feb 11 from 17:00 forward. There, how 'bout that initiative?

I've taken the initiative. Who's up for a few good games?

I was thinking UO mods. Private server. Domination (tactical, maybe limit lifes to avoid rushing), Insurgency, small Coops.

If you plan on being there please say so in this thread so we can see how many we are an plan accordingly.

Glad to see someone else organizing something however, day before not so great, makes letting everyone know ahead of time hard.

Tomorrow I will be away and won't get home till >10pm and shall be going straight to bed.

Best of luck! hope we get quite a few guys turning up. I would love to play some more with the UO mods they just don't seem so social on their server which is a shame. Which is why it would be great if we can play our own games. Would have loved to have attended this.

I definitly want to be there! Only problem is (as you might know) the version issue, I can't seem to fix it :/

My internet is all sorted now so im happy to host, 30meg down 4 meg upload. I have happly hosted 12 before. Not hosted with the new 1.6 patch so im intrested in trying.

Just so we're clear on this: What version are we going to use?

I assume CO with ACE & ACRE?

Which CO version? My version is currently at 1.60.87580 - And don't know how to update this (steam version, and it doesnt auto update these small versions, no beta update available) since it won't work from BIS their own updates (even though it says it work with steam I have yet to find out how) because it tells me my serial key is invalid. I thought maybe I needed to specify this somewhere but can't find out if this is the case.

Yeah.. I'm ballsed up somewhere along the lines, same version as Xazper, but I get stupid errors about missing files and what not, not impressed!

I know how to fix this:
You need to download the ARMA 2 beta patch seperatly from the www.arm2.com/beta-patch.php website and run the installer.

Yeah I tried that but when I run the installer it says me serial key isn't correct and it stops. Even though I've got a legal version (bought trough steam).

I think possibly mine is fixed.. I at least joined a server today Gonna try the UO ones now, fingers crossed

sorry guys had a family issue ie i have one. gonna be a bit hit or miss if im on ill host.

looks like ARMA:PR might be worth another shot after 0.15 though.

I almost overslept (yes.. at 6 in the evening..) but I was there at 17-17.15 and no one was there. Seems we may need more time to set up. Anyway it was just a crazy idea I had.

Ah yeah I could have been at dinner at that time, so I just missed ya I think.. Anyways I was wondering about ARMA: PR.0.15 .. Is it any good?

Not out yet, 0.1 is ok but it looks like they've fixed a lot of the nagging bugs in the next patch which will make it more fun.
