Fraps
how big do the files get when your recording with fraps? is it like battlerecorder? between 70-150Mb or are we talking about gig size?

type a GB instead of MB, and u got a full 2 1/2 hours round on fullscreen, 30fps, win sounds and mic input...

Yeah when I record 1920x1080 30fps with sounds I easily end up with 100GB after not all that long. It's because it's real time so there's no time to compress the file. I then use windows movie maker 2.6 (that's the old one from XP, the vista/win7 is just terrible (even more so)) with a HD profile I found online to do simple editing and finally saving as .avi
EDIT: forgot to say it's best to play on one HDD then record to another. Sometimes my PR crash if I record on the same hdd. I only have one so I've limited myself to only recording short clips.

alright well I have 3x hard drives. Im using 2 of them and Im not using the 3rd one 250GB for windows and 1tb for games and programs my 3rd one is also on 1tb or 1.5tb so space is no problem.

When I was arsed to record things, was getting 5minutes for a GB. Ridiculous essentially.
