Re: teamspeak ingame overlay
Just get a second screen and enjoy more benefits than just being able to see who's on TS at that time. The other day I was looking around at something called xfire plus they had a teamspeak overlay plugin however last I checked the download wasn't accessible. No clue if punkbuster would like it though because its not developed by xfire.

Miffy, let me know how you get on with this, I'm interested and would like to have something like tint running.

Re: teamspeak ingame overlay
download a client called "TeamSpeak overlay". It does exactly as it says on the tin .
The only problem i have is it is a little bit buggy with xfire is you use that.
And no there is no problems with punkbuster about it.

Re: teamspeak ingame overlay
Have you tried running it in XP compatibility mode?
I'm sure someone I knew had it running with Vista. Can't remember who though.

Re: teamspeak ingame overlay
i just tried it myself. first it wouldnt install but vista suggested some changes itself. then it installed. next i couldnt get it to show up ingame. so googled; followed some instructions, including this one: 1st logout of xfire, then start tso then ts, click enable button on tso then start game. this should have worked for vista apparently but it didnt for me. i also ran in it in compatibility (sp?) mode and ran it as an administrator, still didnt show up. could have tried to reboot laptop but i got tired of it :p any other suggestions / programs are welcome.

Re: teamspeak ingame overlay
Well I can't even get the overlay to work and I'm using Windows XP. Doing some searching for alternatives and fixes. (I'll post anything I can find.)
http://www.playclaw.com/ It seems you might have to pay for this or have an activation code but I'm not really sure.
miffy did you try the debug tab and check Use Alternative Direct X? Was part of this fix I read. Also did you close the Overlay then reopen it.

http://www.voice-overlay.info.ms/(Currently Still in alpha) Here is another possible program but i haven't the time to test them yet. But I will try this one when i get back home.
P.S. I have gotten it to work but I don't know how, but I will try to figure more out.
Also the Beta Overlay can be quite annoying to me. I place the information on the right side of my screen because that is the only spot that has open space.
The thing is that even thought i placed it there the Direct X information shows up right on top of my ammo count or if on the left it is on my health bar making it a pain to view either of them easily.

Re: teamspeak ingame overlay
Sorry for double post. I tried the second program on my previous post and after a few minutes of being in game I get this message and a kick from PB.
Not sure what it means but I don't think they have fixed this program to work with BF2 like they sated they had on their site.

Re: teamspeak ingame overlay
make sure u tick debug and alternative directx method
Also xfire and TSO kinda cancel each other out cos they both use an overlay.
This is the reason I stopped using it.

Re: teamspeak ingame overlay
I like that fact that it tells you who is speaking but i'd rather be able to use X-Fire since TSO will not work well with it on.

Have you tried ticking "alternative directx mode" on the 3rd tab of options in TSO? I know you need it in BF2 running on XP.
