Mumble Overlay

How do I put this on? xD

There's an overlay?

Configure > Settings > Overlay -> tick Enable

Why do people never look though the settings? I had someone else ask me something about a program that could have easily been answered by looking at the settings themselves.

I looked for this the other day..

In PR mumble they removed the overlay (for g15) because PB doesnt like it

In normal mumble it's still In the options but reccomended not to be used

Overlay is in pr mumble and it works

Does it work in beta version?

It works for me. I've told you where the settings are. Just go and try it!

Overlay, of any kind, will get you in trouble wih her higness PunkBuster. I mean, you'll get kicked endlessly with "Disallowed program/driver" message.

I Always run Overlay with Mumble, Cant handle mumble without it, Never no who the Fk is talking to me.

If you get problems with punkbuster saying "Disallowed program/driver". Then turn off the overlay setting, I've found that if I run PR, then open mumble and connect. You can then either exit PR and reopen it, or if you CTD, then overlay happens but doesn't cause a problem with punkbuster

I don't get problems. Just every time I CTD then rejoin PR it causes overlay to happens

I've been running mumble with the overlay for ages and not once had a PB kick. It really is essential imo, otherwise got no idea who is talking

imo overlay is essential otherwise its just a bunch of nameless euromutants shouting at once!

Also: If you open Mumble after you open PR the overlay won't work.

I figured if you had a problem just gotta re-install it again and again till it works, took me 3 times. Well worth it.

Everytime i open Mumble after PR - Overlay works sound for me ?

Ninjas dont use overlay

Got to have overlay otherwise you could be talking to anyone, in a firefight can save time over having to ask "oh who's that" "where abouts are you, I don't know your name", you see their name come up on overlay, you see their in game player. I'm somebody who has to run mumble prior to PR or I get no ovelay

dave, i think everyone has to run mumble before PR or no overlay. its just how it works, not a bug or anything.

When i windows out form Pr and load mumble, Overlay always works.

very rare i do it that way tho! - My routine: Teamspeak,Mumble..Quick nosey on the Forum...PR

In firefight you dont need to ask peoples names.
And its positional audio, you know where its coming from.

Ninjas dont need overlay

SL - Isnt positional

You dont need overlay in SL channel, you can use squad names/numbers.

And btw, ninjas dont lead squads.
