ARMA game on klafgan MSO?

When? What time? Who will be CO?

- Good afternoon gentlemen, today I put forward a request for another awesome mission only this time on the steep hills of Klafgan. Am not so clued up on how to CO and tbh it is not the role I would enjoy but it is the most important so big props to Snipp's on that! Hopefully Snipps can attend!

I would not mind being the commander, sitting in base directing teams, if we have enough people. Or a squad leader.

I imagine this would be most fun if we play it somewhat seriously with strict chain-o-command and hands on commander giving tasks to squads. I didn't play for long the other day so don't know much about the mission, but I'm REALLY not a fan of how anyone can pick up a radio and call a ton of AI stuff in like base components and CAS/Arty. I think it will be more fun if we have to set up proper supply routes and convoys.

I'm generally a big fan of CLAfghan but I think another map would be better. CLAfghan has a very long way between everything due to the mountains. I'd really like Aliabad but it might be a little small-ish. Maybe Takistan?

Could someone link me the mission file so I can play around with it beforehand? I'd like to learn what can be done and how.
Also if possible I'd very much like to see ACE backpacks added.

TL:DR:
- I'll attend, as CO or SQL
- VERY much dislike AI support, would like to see strict leadership / serious realistic play
- Another map would probably be more fun
- Please link file download and can we add ACE backpacks?

I was just playing around with all the MSO missions I could pull off UO. Only 1 was optimized for ACE (on CLAfghan) but it seems only a few teams spawn up north in camp Branca and everyone else spawn down south, problem is ALL the Vehicles except for aircraft and 4 service trucks are down south.

I suppose it's playable but I forsee comms and transport being a problem. It also seems not even the UO guys could remove the stupid CAS/CASEVAC AI.

Well that sounds pretty cool to me that Clafgan one. As soon as we spawn who ever is down south needs to gear up load the bird and get to the FOB. once there you can gather us around and brief us.

I don't mind either Clafghan or Aliabad, I think both are great!

I still haven't totally explored the possibilities but I was think porting a version of MSO to aliabad as it would be awesome. The main reason I was calling stuff in is that the crates in the main lack some important things (backpack crates/50 cal ammo crates) and vehicles.

Unsure if I can play on Saturday yet, This month is quite busy!

Yeah I just found those files myself. Some are named A2CO COOP others are ACE and 1 is ACEX. I just tried out one on Fallujah with ACE and apart from being able to call in Evac/Cas, which we could just ignore, it seemed perfect. Radios and backbacks, 117F can start random mission.

I'm just trying them out on different maps and then I can decide which one I like best. They seem really, really good as long as you play the ACE ones.

From the files snippers linked. Works perfect with ACE. Random missions (optional) or just patrol towns. IED/VBIED/Suicide bombers (optional, individually scalable), Construction (outposts etc), No commander spot but squads can be changed in game.

I think this is the one guys.

Keep in mind that some players don't like/prefer Fallujah because they have framerate issues

I didn't expect us to actually play on Fallujah. I dislike the map myself, too flat. It was just the first one I came across for ACE testing.

The one I describe above is on Takistan. So FPS shouldn't be an issue.
