Yo guys,

I could have asked this question on the official project reality forums, but I know there's a lot of PR experienced guys troughout these forums, so that's why I'm asking this question here first.

Eversince I have updated my video card drivers with an update from 3 months ago (which I used to delay everytime I was prompted by it) I can't play PR for longer than 30 seconds. Every time I connect to a server, it seems like it's running perfect, no fps/processor lag, and after 30 seconds to one minute it suddenly minimizes to my desktop without any error message whatsoever and the game itself crashes.

I've tried clearing my Battlefield 2 map in my documents and rebooted Battlefield 2, then booted PR, but didn't work.

All my video settings are on low by the way, my video card can't handle PR settings on highest.

Anyone know why this is happening?

I hope this works

I have my textures on low and my draw distance to 100. I'll try it again today but I doubt it'll work

If you think it might be due to your new drivers try and rollback to older drivers on which it still worked..
Or you may try to update your drivers with even newer ones (if available). Also try running as administrator for the heck of it, or try to run it in compatibility mode

what video card do you have ? what are the drivers you have installed ? what drivers did you have installed before this problem was encountered ? (give driver numbers please)

in-game video setting problems tend to show themselves when maps are loading.

Q can you play Bf2 vanilla for more than 30 secs - 1 minute ?

as a quick fix you could try medium settings except for dynamic shadows (off) and textures (low) as these are the problem settings, having everything else on low can introduce problems of their own.

Nevermind guys, I turned all settings to lowest and render distance to 100% and anti aliasing to 2x. It doesn't give me top notch graphics but atleast I can play now. :)

Now you've got me worried!
