Idea for insurgency!

Hi guys!
While I was waiching some pr vids, I got linked to a montage about the "Kassam" or "Qassam" rockets, which are fired at israel very often from palestine hamas member.

So I thought about some pr stuff and Ive got a great idea. Maybe you think otherwise, but at least I want to tell it.

My idea is, that the insuregents in pr will get this area attack like the jdam or arty strikes from the bluefor. Of course it should not be that heavy like a jdam or arty strike. But at least a bigger boom than the normal mortar strikes. And maybe less accurate.

edit: first i thought about a SCUD rocket, but that would be toooooo big right?

Maybe you will write your idea to mine, and it would be cool, if you give me your own ideas about it!

This has allready been suggested in the past, can remember the discussion clearly. these rockets are extremely inaccurate and could not be used realisticly ingame.

ok, scud would be more unrealistic than the "qassam" rockets, because the hamas has not any of these SCUD missiles. taliban has non of them too.

and the iraq insurgence too xD

but if they put the "qassam" into the game, they could give them a bit more accurate flight to hit maybe one "map pad" ( A7 etc ) without big failures.

The SCUD would be realistic if they give to to the MEC´s.

I know what SCUD's are Exe - I've read about the gulf war and Saddam's crazy stockpiling of them.. According to Wikipedia (Shitty source, but still) 42 were fired against Israel during the gulf war.

I was just saying that they aren't extremely hard to get (I was looking at Saddam for the example) because I'm sure there are plenty that are going round for the right price!

Bit pointless sending in a Batallion of soldiers to remove a few pessy fireworks with a bit more bang.. a few SCUD's is a definite reason.

Lol, I dont think hamas/talibs/ins would use their expensive and beautifull soviet-made scud for small base and/or assets n inf.

they would use it at a city. but i think they would try to get some nuklear warheads or something.

Look at the Gulf War[s] for what they used it for. Scuds are strategic, and inaccurate.

Those crappy DIY rocket things aren't area attack either, they are woefully inaccurate, you'd spread them literally all around a PR map! They are cross border terror weapons, in military terms dangerously amateurish.

Best bet is to have area attack as a larger mortar strike if you're going that way. That's the only thing they used as far as I know.


Edit, actually several MLRS were used by Saddam's/Opposition forces in 2003. That'd do the trick. Can't be arsed to reference it.
