what program's do i use for

over clocking graphics and or processor, and what to test it with?

q6600, asus en-9 board? 8800 gtx sli

ok for your gpu= rivatuner, ati tool(stresstest) and maybe 3dmark 05

cpu= prime95 coretemp and maybe superpi(to test the speed difference) tbh you can f**k around with programs that you can OC with but its best to be in the BIOS

It pays to have good airflow in case as well as hardware eg, mobo, memory, psu..etc

Don't worry about overclocking gpu its simple do it last once system stable.

i first test on standard volt and go on multy to see how far i can go then i put my mem to low dividor so i can go on the fsb of the mobo if i think i have some sort of stable setting i start stress test

the thing is wé all whont to game so it's not the best idee to yust stress your cpu and let your gpu stay idle so

i do a prime95 test and run coretemp and everest to see temp's off cpu the socket the core and the mobo temp's etc...

and i olso start a furmark dual gpu stress test @ the same time run it over 1.5 h and if i dont see blue screen it's stable

then i try to see if i get more mhz on ram and ht and do it all over again

if i do get the f*ck screen of dead i start putting more volt in

Can you post pictures into the threads or can you only do it using imageshack etc ? I am going to try set up a little gaming session on my large tv i attempted it it but had a letterbox problem with my radeon 5850, think i have fixed it.

yust to show you all this is the diffrecne true multy ore fsb overclock

this is multy @ 4.2ghz stock gpu's no volt's

true fsb

and then some volt's still stock gpu's


then a bit more 4.4ghz (stable) and try do more on the mem still NO oc ore volt on gpu's



then overclocking the core's off the gpu's + volt

and then overclocking mem off the gpu's

don't realy know send a screen from bios version and it's olway's a risk you know that

Cheers Kenny sorted it i went for the saphire bios as thats what my card is and put the setting the same once i did a check with old then new bios/driver and its alot better.

That's quite insain dude, the difference in cpu povver vvith six cores and then
overclocked on 3d benchmark test is madness.

Just thought id post my new rig got it to 3.7ghz stable 28idle 50 on load prime 95. i5 750 with 2x 5770 and a H50 was cooled setup.




OH AND DONT FOR GET THE SSD!!!!!!!!!!!
