screen res size

hi all just loaded bf2 on too a laptop but when i go to settings i can only see two sizes on the resolution selector how do i get more ?? as its only playing on half the screen.

Go to Documents\Battlefield 2\Profiles\0001(Or if you have many profiles the one you are using, could be 0002/0003/etc.)
Then open file named "video" With notepad and manually write your resolution.

Add the following commands to your BF2 shortcut:


(assuming it's widescreen:) +widescreen +restart +szx [x-resolution] +szy [y-resolution]

So for a 1680*1050 screen it would look like:

+widescreen +restart +szx 1680 +szy 1050

will start the game at that resolution, no matter what Just do not go to the video options afterwards, else it will reset to the options available there..

it may be the limit of the laptop have you checked?

If you do set a larger side and it wont boot the game. Delete the profile in my docs. it will then load to default and resize the screen. It more than likely your laptop is limited to that resolution.
