Recently i've gotten horribly addicted to this game when i first saw it on youtube i thought "this looks terrible and who would want to play it"?, the graphics are simple like a 3d version of super mario and after playing project reality i thought lol

!, but i heard its been winning awards and its only in beta testing and i thought fk it ill give it ago so i went on the site and played the free version of it but couldnt because it launches on your internet and my internet isnt great so i watched more videos on youtube and saw what people were doing on it and i was like WOW wtf

, so for some reason i made a perchase and played it and i was like holy fking god and now i'm addicted.

[u]What its about?
Its basically a game where it generates a map of textured blocks and trust me a lot of them, everytime you want to create a new world it generates a new world everytime but being blocks they make impressive landscapes with huge clifs and mountains and what not and all you do is when you destroy a block you get the material of what it is and it puts it in your inventory and then you can place it anywhere you want so with destroying enough blocks you can build anything you can imagine

But theres more..
when it turns to night monsters, zombies and skeletons mounting spiders with bow and arrows spawn and come after you so uve got to quickly build a shelter before they kill you and when it turns back to daylight they burn alive. and then you can go back to exploring the huuuuuge landscape.
There not just blocks though there blocks of natural resources like wood, stone coal, iron, gold etc, and you need to make certain tools to gather certain resources to make your shelter, house, underground base, fortress, castle, etc so with your fist you would cut down a tree collect the wood and you get a crafting box where you can craft the resources into other things like with the wood you can craft it into planks of wood and with the planks of wood you can craft that into sticks or into a wooden pickaxe, and with your wooden pickaxe you can now gather stone and when you collect stone you can make a stone pickaxe so you can gather stone and other resources much faster and when youce collect lots of resources you can build anything you can imagine.

The thing is with this game its only in beta testing and its no where near completed and its still full of bugs and the guy who made it is a millionaire he was earning £350,000 per day of the sales and currently 1,505,325 have boaght the game, also he has 7 awards so far for it, i just find that amazing as i'm currently doing a games designing and its deffently inspired me.

This game is simply epic. I've gotten bored of it though and haven't played in a while. I just discovered "The escapist" server which from the outside seems very well moderated and organized.

Urgh, it took a while. Built over a couple of weeks. I had some help clearing the mountain out of the way, but other than that, I placed every block.

I've got a server working on my machine. Will need people to help me test it. Grab me if you see me on TS.

I don't want to make anyone feel inadequate. I just had enough time and dedication to get it built (though I actually still need to work on the internal cabins).

Got the server files on my comp now. Had a couple of people try to connect but they d/c a little while after logging in. Very frustrating. Looking at forums and whatnot this seems to be a recent issue with the current version. Gonna ask my other server's admin about it today.

I'll be Minecrafting this evening after popping out to a pancake party, so come on TS sometime and we'll have another bash at it.

I play on an online server, with towns and all that stuff.
My friend and I have settled in a dessert far from everything and here is a few screenshots of what we got.

Our house.
Large wall to protect us from looters.
Yeah we have we... wheat on the roof.

The main entrance.
3 different functions
- std. pressure plates work on both sites.
- Locked from outside but still able to go out.
- Permanent open.

ah looks cool, is tht a mine shaft under the bridge? i wish i could play multiplayer but when i go onto servers i get extreme lag like chat delay and when i destroy a block it reappears ans then 10 mins later i get the resource

Herocraft. Nice server, but there is bit of lag sometimes.
Admins are very active and all most always there.

When I joined a couple of minutes ago, I spawned in a completely ruined house, everything was destroyed.
But I was lucky to catch the griever in action and called an admin.
The admins have power to repair everything, so there is no signs of damage now.

I dunno about anyone else but I have had a lot of stress over the past few weeks (wife is unwell) and found playing PR just as stressfull. Minecraft is nice and relaxing and just the place to escape reallife.

Gonna play some PR tonight though.

Possibly the best collection of mods ever, It's got it's own launcher so there's no client side crap going on, and Multiplayer fully works. All yours to sort out, but I've been really bored of Minecraft SP recently and that mod has really made it come alive.

Yogscast did a video on it, It's not a half-arsed mod by any standard.
