which DX11 gfx card
Hi, Seeing how dx11 gaming is already out now with "Colin Mcrae-Dirt 2" & "Aliens vs Predator" releases in february,"Battlefield Bad Company 2" in march,i'm thinking of buying dx11 cards, well there is no released nvidia card as of yet,GF 100 will be nvidia's released dx11 card first quarter of this year, but it will be expensive & i don't think it will be beat ATi due to ATi releasing 5000 series dx11 breeds,& that brings me to the ATi 5870 crossfire, this 2 card combination is the fastest at the moment, even the new ATi 5970x2 is slower,5970x2 has 3200 processing cores but slower clocks is more or less the same as having two 5850's thus 5870 has 1600 cores but faster clocks is best option. I have two nvidia 8800 GTX xxx editions = 128 + 128 = 256 processing cores,so my conclusion is if i buy one 5870 for now with 1600 cores it should be faster than my 2x gtx, then at some point buy another. I think waiting for nvidia's GF100/dx11 card to be released before buying new dx11 cards would be best option also because prices should fall, but i'm getting hungry for dx11
Has anyone bought a dx11 card yet or thinking about buying, what card ?

Re: which DX11 gfx card
I done more studying on the new & upcoming nvidia dx11 gfx card,it has 3 billion transistors on it,6 pin & 8 pin power connectors required,512 processing cores. Now bear in mind the 295gtx had a total of 480 cores,240 per gpu. 512 cores on a single gpu
https://2img.net/r/ihimizer/img14/9636/specst.png
(for the members/players that are asking themselves "Will i be able to play the new Battlefield Bad Company 2/DX11 games with the clan on my dx9/dx10 graphic card & with Win XP/Win Vista",The answer is yes but you will not render the DirectX content/textures etc,etc according to what card & OS you are running. Also i do think now after further studying that nvidia's DX11 card will beat their counter part ATi's DX11,so therefore i holding on for nvidia)

Re: which DX11 gfx card
roflol
ok m8 nvidea is comming out whit a 3 billion trancistor card dx11
and yes probly it will beat the 5*** series off ati
BUT
the 5870 is realy good and on sale in a few mount's the card only peak's @ 188 watt and if you see some off the benchmark's in cf god damn IT OUT PERFORMS A 5970 DUAL GPU in real live game test
http://www.guru3d.com/article/radeon-hd-5870-review-test/
the big thing is you realy need a hell off a cpu and i mean a I7 950-965 extreme to get the full speed off the gpu more than 55-75 amps clean psu power and a good mobo
so real expensive yust 970 euro for cpu 450 mobo don't know mem and psu
thats just a sick amount off money out your own pocket

yeah need good PSU. but you can overclock cheap cpu example i7 920 from default 2.66 to 4ghz. i7 920 approx £210,6gb 2000mhz ram £140,mobo £175,

Re: which DX11 gfx card
If you have a nvidia 8800 series or above card, there is a good use for it after upgrading to a DX11 nvidia card, you use it for dedicated Physx, you don't use the sli bridge thats only for sli config,so if you want two dx11 cards in sli & use 8800 for physx, you will need a mobo with three x16 pci-e slots capable of running at full x16_x16_x16 speeds, but now problem for x-fi pci slot required sound card,
Here is more info on Physx; http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=150597

You would have to use a "Ribbon elbow pci riser" for the sound card & maybe bolt the sound card inside the case somewhere & maybe adjust pci latency; http://ebay.b2cshop24.info/tpschc/b2bp5013.jpg So yes the "Asus P6T" would still be the best option for the build due to the bottom pci slot for sound etc, etc. giving x16_x16_x4 mode, you will only lose a few physx fps running in x4 mode.

Re: which DX11 gfx card
yes but
the ATI consol is not conpatibel whit the amdgpu tool so if i go over 900mhz core
1300mhz mem the manual fan setting's go off and it not clocking down in 2d so the gpu getting to a 100C that is to hot
i did do a 950mhz on the core and 1305mhz
but when i have got the liquid blok's for the gpu ( in 6 weak's pfffffffff i can go for it)

you won't see much difference in a screenshot of BF2 being a dx9 game, put a screenshot up of a dx11 game like dirt2 then compare.... oops we only got dx10 hardware :!:
