I,ve problem with BF2 on Win7
I've loaded BF2 onto my laptop, I,ve patched 1.50 and put the renddx9.dll into the BF2 folder, but I just get a black screen and the then back to my desktop. I've a geforce 8600M GT and the latest drivers, stuntmanSlim believes it's the graphics card. Any suggestions?

I meant a graphic render issue thus below
Did ya put in the 1.41 patch first...
install sequence for bf2; install bf2>special forces>1.41 patch>1.50 patch

Re: I,ve problem with BF2 on Win7
Well, I found out the problem with BF2 crashing, getting a black screen and then back to desktop. The graphics card is on 59 Hertz, seemingly, Dell did it intentionally because they were having issues with 60 Hertz iterfering with WLAN cards. I tried a fix for it that was designed for win xp, but it didn't work for this lap as win 7 on it. Got this error: failed to create kry OLDMODES. I'll try to keep looking for a fix, hate to be beaten by a laptop, but if anyone has a suggestion, and not, "stick it where the sun don't shine!", Iwould be forever greatful.

The problem is with my graphics, Dell has it set to 59hz so it doesn't upset wireless internet or something. BF2 needs 800x600x60hz and I can't change it.
