HEEEEELP!!!!

Okay, I'm not sure if you have noticed but I haven't been playing on BF2 for a few days now. Well my main computer has a virus. I've run so many different scans and nothing hast totally fixed the problem. I've run Spybot search & destroy, Superantispyware, CCCleaner, AVG. From all of these scans they have found all sorts of thing and removed them but none of them seem to be the main problem. Does anyone have anymore ideas as what I could do. I don't have a Windows XP Pro disc to reformat with. HEEEEEEELLLLLP ME PLEASE!!!!!!

Do you have an XP CD Key

The 1st name that came up was Trojan horse Generic15.CLUR.

I believe that I might have a key from a windows Xp Home Edition disc I have.

its a strong chance that wot u have is a virus that uses programs to download even more viruses, probly why u keep finding more than one, i think ur only choice is to reformat while u can, DO NOT BRING ANY FILES ONTO A USB TO PUT BACK ON AFTER THOOUGH

Yeah, unfortunatly it sound's like a complete wipe and reload of your xp. I've had simliar problem, I thinkm it has been dealt with but I'm taking no chances, I getting rid of my xp and puting win7 on my PC.

Okay, I've been talking to Microsoft and they had my run their online scan. It found a
Trojan:Win32/wimpixo.gen!A and c:/enhs.exe

the likely infected area was (wextract)/winzip.exe\(upxw-damaged) Then when i clicked
Neztr or what ever It said they could not be cleaned.

P.S. I would have already reformated if I had another Xp Pro disc to do it with.
P.S.S I do have a Xp Pro Product key on the side of my computer but still no disc.

Hi, If your xfire computer details are correct,all you need is another 1gb ram & you could install 64bit win 7 Ultimate,otherwise 32 bit. Battlefield Bad company 2 is being made for win 7,Alien vs Predator is on the 7 OS too etc,etc....

try malwarebytes fixes every thing when i got a virus that kept reinstalling and wouldnt let me visit certain IE web sites

download the free version install then run it in windows safe mode by pressing F8 when you see your bios screen keep tapping F8 until u get to option to start in safe mode. If that dosent fix or remove the virus then you`ll be up for a full reformat.

Ty, I used I and it found a few things and removed them but when i went back to normal mode my PC would still gradually get slower until it was pretty much unresponsive.

Its a reformat then mate sorry to say. IF you can get a ISO of win xp pro of a torrent then used your key that would work as its the CD key that makes the licence not the install media. Or if you have XP home and you know some one who has jusst upgraded to win 7 and they will let you have the old win xp key you could give that a go. may need to make a call to M$ and say youve just upgraded that why the hardware has changed so much if it spits at your cd key

I know one guy that has an Xp Pro disc but it is currently being used because he needs to reformat his laptop I might be able to borrow it afterwords. And I'd try to get it by torrent but knowing my luck I'd just find another virus, so I will not do that unless someone else finds it and knows it is safe.

Once u get this sorted you need get a decent anti virus programme.

Internet security is one area of software where I don't scrimp.

I would suggest Kaspersky.

Please do not post links to torrents for software that has been pirated esp in public forum we could get into trouble for it!!!

I would recomend kaspersky but i found it's to expensive on my dole payments

I payed £20 for my Kaspersky.

To be honest I wouldn't f**k around with Torrents for something as important as Internet Security.

Pay! Its worth every penny.
