One of those moments.
So the Styker is running away down the main road with a broken track. I've got an RPG.
It's a long shot, but I've got ammo and the cache isn't far away.
I crouch down, count to five, squeeze the trigger....and somehow manage to hit it dead on!
Turns out it was 303m after Vandal places a marker for me.
Zoomed in to actual size on my screen:

Re: One of those moments.
Enjoyed Fallujah last night, thanks to the guys on my US sqd (Mike etc). Was only a short time as SL but we done well as a team getting the cache quite quickly. Been practising moving the squad in bounds with SAW/Sniper covering. Coming together nicely, chuffed!
Well done deadly, I guess with the RPG shot you've earned your name!

Re: One of those moments.
Forgot to ask... ... did you have to elevate the launcher to compensate for the round dropping over such a long distance?
Can anyone clarify the physics of PR/BF with regards to bullet drop?

I think I placed the aiming blade over the APC, so not much elevation. Rockets are a bit diff to bullets though.
Bullets fly straight out to a certain distance then drop linearly. This is to approximate, as simply as possible, a ballistic flight path matched with a weapon zeroed out to a specific distance.
I cannot remember the particular distances, though I think that the rifles of designated marksmen are "zeroed" to 600m.
Good game yerterday.

Re: One of those moments.
This is what i learned from Bootcamp in tourny
Rifles (m16 m4 sa80....) zeroed to 300 meters
Auto rifleman- 400 m, but unnacurate at that range
Snipers- 600m
Marksman-600m
grenade luanchers are effective to 300m but gets hard to no were 2 aim as there are no notchs
i cant remember much else realy

Re: One of those moments.
woop! I got the DMR right and it makes sense that snipers are about the same.
I thought grunt rifles would be about 300m, but wasn't sure. Interesting that AR are set to 400m.
