Hall of Shame... Ramming with APC

I just wanna ask you guys what you think about NwA members ramming other apcs to death after recognising they have no chance...

That's the lowest thing you can do imo.

I talked to pectus and he said that they would have been dead if they ran away.

he said either ram or die trying running away. he had no chance of surviving.

Bit of info for you guys. I was gunning a BTR, with Pec driving, in the middle of the desert on Burning Sands - coming out of the city when we ran into a Warrior, with a Challenger behind us. Absolutely nothing we could do besides getting close to said Warrior and seeing what damage we could do as the gun was useless at that point.

You know what, to be honest, ramming vehicles is something that is done in a last ditch effort when all else failed. It happened in war. It's not like running dudes over in a car (Where the body weight of the person with their gear would damage the car beyond use most of the time) which is a cheap tactic. Vehicle ramming is a last ditch effort to either disable the vehicle, destroy it, kill the crew inside, or, if all else is lost, use the vehicle as an improvised battering ram at the cost of the vehicle and the crew inside in order to destroy something.

It indeed has happened in warfare. Ships did it too at sea in an effort to sink larger ships.

On many other server it s vice versa, cause avoiding a roadkill by shooting the driver is much easier than killing a raging BTR.
But if you see it like that, ok.

Where's the border between kamikaze (waste) and just a ram (last effort) and how would you decide as admin.

if lets say an apc is 100% going to die what ever he is going to do a last effort is something I would allow. but its really hard almost impossible to see if something its a waste or if he was never going to survive.

waste for me is if he go into a place where its known he is going to be killed. and never going to survive.

Aye, because when you jihadi charge and APC or other heavy vehicle, you have an equal chance to lose your own as you do to kill theirs. Honestly, I'm surprised it isn't done more often when you roll a corner on a vehicle you know can kick your ass when you can't escape. If they go around looking for things to ram (like trying to ram humvees with apcs or techies, etc) then yeah, that's a problem. But I don't think someone would intentionally ram a vehicle of equal or bigger mass when their life is on the line. Running down infantry is what it is, no harm to the vehicle or the crew. Running up another APC on the other hand...

We should have a discussion about this. This is a situation that happens so rarely that honestly, I've never even seen or heard a report about it until just right now.

You should check you're own attitude first before starting to make demands regarding the Hall of Shame.
