Digital Combat Simulator [Sim-related]
So I heard that a couple of us have DCS A-10C. Maybe people want to get together and give it a spin? If so I can scrounge up a map or two that we can play on.

I also have it, never got to grips with it. Need to sort my head tracker and get some tut's on how to use the systems.

Yeah I got it, gonna make my freetrack setup on Monday.
Also I either need help with a profile or I'll setup my stick in DCS.

Personally, I like to start up from the ramp but maybe we should play a map that has you start in the air.
Now I am not the best pilot nor the best instructor but I can help those who need it.
I do not have any advanced joystick so I cannot comment on stick profiles.
BTW, the ingame tutorials are good enough to understand the basics.
How do people feel about thecoming next weekend, Saturday? That will be the 16th of February.
- Sorry, something came up for me. So next Saturday will be when I get back.

Re: Digital Combat Simulator [Sim-related]
DCS A10-C is awesome. It does indeed have a steep learning curve, but that's the price of a fully functional simulator.
Only recently did I get a good enough joystick for it. For the curious reading the A10-C was designed around the HOTAS concept (Hands On Throttle And Stick) with the idea being that mid-flight the majority of systems can be controlled without the hands leaving the throttle or stick. Though to do this one an advanced joystick like the X52.
I have managed to learn enough of the basics to be a little bit effective in combat. Loz, Da-Fort and myself had a bit of a bash. There look like there are some nice tools for sending positions/targets to each other. I still have tons to learn though!
I have a headtracker on the way so am keen to get some A10-C going. Unfortunately at present I can't tell you when I'll be free until a few days before, as my work is getting more ad-hoc.

Re: Digital Combat Simulator [Sim-related]
Sorry for the very short notice on when we are going to get together. I got back yesterday and just have now managed to find time to settle in on a time.
How about 8-9 PM GMT?
EDIT: Whoops, looks like the very short notice did not get picked up by any ones radar. Not a big deal, there is always next weekend!
