Play with SIX (Six Updater Replacement)

The replacement for SIX updater is here and its a lot better

Whilst it is better than six launcher, it severally lacks the features of six updater the most important being lack of support for custom repo/mod packs that aren't on their list. This is a problem for our ACE+ACRE setup.

Yeah the lack if mod support is bad hopefully they add a lot more mods to the list, i managed to install ACE from play with SIX and just manually installed ACRE

With Six the problem is it was made by a coder and no designer imput. So it is sort of not very user friendly. This are very logical and inorder but not Noob friendly. Thats what coders do, assume every one has the knowladge to use the product cos the coder does.

A designer takes what the coder wants to do and says right this need going here this need adding this need to be more user friendly. Then they sort it Harry Hill style. fight fight fight.

Six updater is definatly made by a coder.

Soo yes or no for this one? Which is easier to play in yar server..?

16mb download isn't it easier to just try it out for yourself?

Play with six is a lot easier to use and the server browser actually works really fast along with fast download speeds i was getting ACE at 8mb a sec.

Only down side is the lack of support for custom mods but only took me 10 seconds to download ACRE manually and install it

Basically if six updater is giving you a headache with its unfriendly appearance use play with six, if your in the know with six updater then just stick with that

I'll give it a pass unless it surpasses Six Updater in functionality.
