The game is 13 years old give or take a month or so. I played it from beta 2 uptil about 2005/6 when I started to play BF2. Thats when I met Vandal, Daze and Kop.



Good fun and brough back so many memories

For any that want some quick buy scripts and cant be arsed to make their own, here is one I grabbed off the net and edited to remove all the nooby sniper weapons

Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\csgo\cfg and open autoexec.cfg in a text editor.

It's fairly obvious what each button on the numpad will buy you. If you wanna change the keys, change the key name in the first quotes to another key, e.g. F1 key would be bind "f1" "buy m4a1"

I also use this to set my crosshair to a red dot in the middle instead of the green cross. You need classic crosshair turned on in the menu (though there is also console command for it i just changed it in menu). You can mess around with the thickness/scale/color. if you want lines back, change size to 1 or more

Isn't it the M4A4 in game nowadays? Or is it still coded as M4A1.. that would be bad Also you won't have to buy ammo any more.

yea, still coded as m4a1. there is a folder with all the weapon names in somewhere if you want to replace anything. and yea, you don't have to buy ammo, don't know why they included it in their script. i was just too lazy to take it out

Hmm... I really liked CS 1.6.. should I get CS:GO? I mean, is it similar to the good old CS, or is it more like CoD?

its like CS:S but still different.

its counterstrike. its not 1.6, its not source. its different. IMO better than source once you're used to it. its a bit harder than source, headshots aren't as easy

The game is decent and I am very interested in what mappers would be able to make with it or modders even. The only thing that I dislike is how inaccurate some of the weapons are. But I have not played a lot of CS to get a good feel for the guns.

in 1.6 every weapon was super accurate, your bullets were hitting where you aimed. except when you shoot nonstop.

this is MUCH better then 1.6 because now you need some luck to kill aswell with automatic weapons.

honestly, i think the lower weapons give you much more of a fighting chance than in source. da fort, CS is totally different to current FPS, its all about burst and single shot, but you have to control it yourself. Strafing left to right and firing when you're not on the move is the best way

Yea its a good server and the admin is a nice bloke. Always willing to help out if he's on steam. They've put on a few custom maps now as well, so theres some nice variety.

I played on the server the other night, and they've upped the player cap to 32. Bit of a clusterfuck now, might see what they think about dropping it back down, it was way better before.

- I asked UKCSG about having a 6v6 friendly the other night, Stevie said they have a few dudes who would love to do it. "atm its only really us three" = Me, You + Tick. But if Dr.Hax Viglen Sincoza Heavyweather.. fancy this its something I can arrange for the future?

- Nothing serious just a few really organized games..
