Re: Marksman/Sniper Training
It was very educational.. Liked a lot the beggining introduction.. Shows well why snipers are needed etc..
Did good job explaining there.. I finally hit my target.. Now a lot of revising.. so everything will be stuck in my head incase needed..

Update on the original post: duration and a better schedule
Thank you, my first group (Snippers, nixy, heavyweather, oneshot and assistand scotty)
for bearing with my mic problems and the overtime of my expected 40mins.

Re: Marksman/Sniper Training
2 interests by now...
how does sunday evening sound, guys?
just to let you know, this course also is good for section or platoon leaders as you'll see the capabilities of a marksman/sniper and learn to use this asset to your teams benefit.

Re: Marksman/Sniper Training
Do you have a proposed length of training and a start time? I might be able to attend the Sunday one.

Cold barrel? You mean first shot? I can't actually remember which shot it was. I remember clipping one guy and him running away, too, and us all trying to ping him.
I've been tweaking the mission while I learn about the ArmA editor. I've added ACE wounding. Now everyone gets an IFAK, so you can heal up if anyone has any...err...accidents. Plus changed the rookies to Brits and stashed a Land Rover near spawn.

Re: Marksman/Sniper Training
hey chris, i was just wondering, could you maybe design a condensed version of a lesson of literally 'how to shoot and hit your target' rather than all this history and knowledge and information about the rifles, although interesting, i dont really have enough time to attend the whole thing though i would incredibly like to learn how to hit an accurate target

Re: Marksman/Sniper Training
The part about what role to use which weapon in is quite important.

Re: Marksman/Sniper Training
The movement and sniper position is important.. But i guess you can leave out the part about what rifle uses what caliber.. etc.. that might not interest everyone..

Thats like wanting to drive a car without learning the rules of traffic.
There is an intend behind the theory part and i wouldn't include it if it isn't important:
- the caliber/rifle type defines your range, behaviour and attackable targets
- the role is important to know what you have to do in general
- the planing/movement/positioning is lowering your surprises to a minimum
This training is designed to introduce the class of marksmen/sniper and to train this role in the way we play it together.
Not more... and not less! So no, i will not shorten the lesson.
go to youtube if you want a shortcut, but don't be upset then if you're not in that role on a big game here.
give me a time you can do then, mateMysticNinja wrote:Chris_Kampfgurke wrote:can do, im planing a new session. how bout sunday next week?MysticNinja wrote:id like to attend the training.
