Camp in hills notice July 5 late night.
FYI most of the tents are empty now. They were not robbed. Dr.Hax, Lovvi and BJN decided to move all their stuff somewhere more private.
Just thought I'd give a heads up before people start panicking.

You think when the mod is released you won't lose stuff?

Loosing stuff is fine but when you spent the few hours of play you have of a night getting better gear and fixing vehicles only to have it blown up in 5 mins by someone else for something that is not discussed or decided on by the group.
plus not to mention leaving the guys who have fixed and parked the vehicle behind to then have to leg it for another 10 - 20 mins to get back into the game.
I personally feel I have been spending most of my in game time fixing vehicles only never to get to use them. this is why I cant be asked to look or fix vehicles any more as it is using what time i have and removing the fun part of the game. this is why if i find anything i'll not store it near camps just so i can enjoy playing with something that i spent the time in acquiring.
anyone who has played with me knows im not normaly like this but over the passed week or two this has become my way of bringing some enjoyment back into the game.

There are reasons I play Arma with mods instead of Day Z. Day Z is all about possessions and isn't fair for the reasons you mentioned, I too have spent time repairing vehicles then to watch people who didn't necessarily help in their creation accidently lose them, all it creates is frustration because you then didn't get the investment back and this creates friction and tension between players for instance look at what is happening now. Many things in Day Z involve long investments of time and energy, personally not what I want to invest my time in , so from my economist point of view that's why I don't play Day Z , but I do hope you guys enjoy the game

Re: Camp in hills notice July 5 late night.
I came to that conclusion with in the first hour of playing.
Never get too attached to any thing.
Spend ages meeting up to then realise its time to turn of the PC then spend ages meeting up the next time you play. Rinse and repeat.
That's why I gave away all my kit when I logg off? Dayz has about 1-2 hours of fun for me. Start with nothing creap around zombies, get some food, water and a gun. Go for a wonder see what you can see. After that I don't have enough time to commit playing in a big groups as any thing if find fix and store will get used and abused.
So I decided not to play.

Re: Camp in hills notice July 5 late night.
dont get me wrong i love the game and cant wait to get back in every night.
its just when some one jumps into a vehicle when no one else is on is like one person taking a vehicle in PR, but unlike PR it wont spawn back on the next map.
i like respawning as it is a big part of the game. it also gives you your freedom back as you know if you die again its no big deal.
weapons are easy to find and i like the AKM as it is as common as the Winchester.
i think what is getting to most players is that some people play this game as if it was a Battle Field style game and dont play as a team by waiting to use clan resources when the majority of the clan is on.
i think people wanting their own camp is not about loosing gear or resources, its about players not respecting others and their gear and not having the manners to ask before taking what they have not contributed to

Sounds like this game is just a load of greif.
From looking from outside why not make s central point for sharing and anything ekse is fair game?
Or invite only server and scrap the pubbers

Re: Camp in hills notice July 5 late night.
The simple fact of this game is, don't get too attached to stuff. Setting up camps is fine, but they WILL be found, whether in a day or in a month. Keep your most valuable stuff/the stuff you dont want to share on you and just accept that the other stuff may be gone. No need to fight over it, espcially not within the clan!

Re: Camp in hills notice July 5 late night.
I talked with Fuggut and we got it resolved! No hard feelings towards anyone.
We moved 'cause it's a lot better to have a few persons in different camp rather than a bunch of people at 1 camp since having a lot in one place will conclude in a huge mess and in the end someone getting someone shot.
Also I propose that we spread our guys into groups across the map, we'd have 3 groups and I'd provide a pick-up truck to the third group as well.
I'll give one of the pick-ups back to Fuggut's camp as well so we all would have transport and we could share supplies with other groups!
And to identify people on the map the group leaders could just ask other group leaders where their people are and then proceed doing whatever they like again.
