Indeed! It was more luck that the ball went in though - if Johnson hadn't have run back to the goal-line, Hart's punch would have put it passed the post!

Problem is that Ashley Cole should have stopped playing for England when Beckham did, he's well past it and his play-style isn't helping Hodgson's squad at all, he's far far too offensive and constantly playing out of position! Only issue is we don't have any decent left-footed Left Backs to take over from him...

Lescott needs to learn how to man-mark people better, he was all over the place against Sweden when marking from set pieces.

Terry needs to pull himself together a bit more, but overall he hasn't been too bad.

Johnson everyone is rating highly, but this certainly isn't the best he's played for England, far from it! He's getting back and covering really well (unlike Cole, the joke of a defender) and when he pushes forwards he does well also. He just needs a bit more support from a strong Right Mid to push further down the line and it would be spot on!

And also, Ashley Young can GTFO. I think I've seen more strength in a paper bag than he does on the ball. Constantly losing the ball, tries to take on players and just gives the ball away. The only thing that he has going for him is his ability to create space and run into it with his great speed, but then he only goes and f**ks up a pass or shot that he's made the space for!!

tbh andy carroll isn't that good anymore, he falls over nearly as many times as Ashley Young! Yeah he scored a good header but for 95% of the rest of the game he was just standing around. Compare him to Theo wallcott, theo loses the ball and then is straight back trying to get it back, he comes back and helps the midfield, Carroll can barely manage to walk back to the halfway line at best

Carroll was great at Newcastle and poor at Liverpool; end of the season he actually started settling in and playing well!

He made some good moves against the Swedes and did chase the ball quite well, and won it back quite a few times, I'm not writing him off just yet - now that he's getting comfortable with the squad he's starting to play some good football. I think one of the thing that always goes his way is his height - so Hodgson will want him in for the long balls / crosses that inevitably come.

Gerrard's cross to him was a classic Gerrard cross, this is what the man used to do day in day out, and every single time it worked - England need to try it more!
