Who is getting Diablo 3?

4 days to go until Diablo 3 comes out

So which of you dudes is getting it so I can nerd on it with you

Also can we have a Diablo 3 channel on TS cos i'm probably gonna be sat in there for about a year XD

I don't want to sound rude or arrogant. But what is the attraction of this game? Diablo 2 looks more interesting to me.

Yea I'm getting it. I missed diablo 2, so I figured I'd start with this, but if people would rather play 2 I'd be up for that.

Too expensive, 2/10 would not get. Though I did play beta and I enjoyed it, though it did start to be repetitive. I guess main reason to play would be the storyline or PvP

Diablo 3 is quite enjoyable if you ask me, although it has its drawbacks like skills that are nothing more than just epic failure. Also their current rare item grind system is kinda sucky and time consuming as from what I hear end act bosses.. and bosses of any kind have almost, if not, 0 chance of dropping anything other than blues. RIP Diablo 2 Ball runs, . Also the party limit of 4 is kinda annoying... nothing like an epic 8 player party on hell with omg strong minions

I thought this was boring when I first played it, did most of act 1 last weekend, got to about level 15 (demon hunter) and I was already bored. I had a feeling it was who i partied up with, a friend and his friend (who had already compelted the game) and he was just rushing through. I had no idea what was going on.

Thought i'd give it another shot last night, next thing i know, its 1.30am and i have work in a few hours. Had loads of fun, have actual useful skills now, and have a need to use them. Its a decent challenge but not impossible as demon hunter. Act 2 is ALOT more fun than act 1

I'm almost on Hell Mode, I would have probably been on inferno but my friend slowed me down wanting to play with me but he plays LoL all the time so i've sort of pushed off on my own, nearly at the end of the 2nd difficulty

Difficulty level.

Normal, Nightmare, Hell, Inferno.

Heard a lot of good and bad things about the game. Mainly that melee can't do anything in hell/inferno difficulty because mobs just 1shot you in there, and that ranged need to be so called "glass cannons' to be able to kill anything. (meaning very very low health, just focussed on damage only)

Yeah, I know, group game.. but seriously, if you can't even play by yourself when your mates aren't around is a bit weird

Not sure if I'm going to grab this when I got my new pc (decided to postpone buying it so I can focus on studies.. LAME). Will see if things change before I do ^^

Well mate, basically the mobs do insane amounts of damage - I have above average health on my demon hunter - around 22k and I get slapped for at least 14k by an average mob on Hell so yeah - ranged characters have a pretty hard time soloing - they need someone to take the heat while they can nuke from a distance or just run around kiting to survive.

But overall its an enjoyable game if you have someone to play with.. kinda sucks in solo mode though

Played the beta. Forgettable. The only reason to buy would be misplaced nostalgia. Blizzard has fully jumped the shark. The suspicion caused by the utter s**t that was SC2 has been confirmed by my 2 hours on the D3 beta. No need to throw away $60 into the internet. Played the Torchlight 2 beta. THAT s**t is HOT. Really really good. I'd consider playing that.

So yea, hit level 60 over the long weekend, don't think i'm going to play much more of this.

There are a lot of things wrong with it imo. Loot is fairly broken, maybe once or twice have I found an item of my level, that i've used over what i've already got. what is the point of being level 55, and finding level 40 loot?! you can just go to the auction house and buy crazy good gear for < 50k. once you've completed the game, whats there to play for if not loot?

inferno is ok, but seems like false difficulty. its mostly ok, but then fast shielded blues/yellows. or invul minions. just seems like a cheap way to make it harder. throw tons of HP onto them and give them stupid abilities.

its ok, but i cant see the endgame keeping me entertained, loot is broken and almost always crap. no more XP to gain, so why bother

Thats the way Diablo has always been tbh the loot isn't broken, its harder to find and thats why they made the auction house -nod- thats why on the 2nd go around the bosses don't drop yellows anymore

It's a feature.

Also to mention, I agree with inferno mode not being the best and I agree with it getting repetitive as capitan says, but remember we still have the Diablo 3 arena to look forward to and guild fights aswell. Lotsa PvP stuff
