0x10c
A new game from Notch (of Minecraft fame).
http://0x10c.com/
Sounds incredibly interesting, a persistent, constantly simulated Firefly-esque game. All the programmers, be sure to check out the 16bit computer simulated in the game - http://0x10c.com/doc/dcpu-16.txt
There are also some screenshots - http://0x10c.com/screenshots/001.png (replace the one with any number from 1 to 7)
Will definitely be getting this as soon as possible, hoping for a minecraft style alpha/beta/full release thing.

Too bad that there will most likely be a monthly fee.

Space. So it's already 1000x better than minecraft
I doubt the monthly fee would be huge, and it might be worth it, IMO much more so than crap like WoW

Not a clue as what to what is happening now.
Sorry, I am programming illiterate. But I like what I am seeing.

The Generator and the Computer
Each ship has a generator capable of producing a fixed wattage, and everything you connect to it drains wattage. A cloaking field, for example, might require almost all the power from the generator, forcing you to turn off all computers and dim all lights in order to successfully cloak.
The computer in the game is a fully functioning emulated 16 bit CPU that can be used to control your entire ship, or just to play games on while waiting for a large mining operation to finish.
Full specifications of the CPU will be released shortly, so the more programatically advanced of you can get a head start.
