Kits

Just wondering what kits people like and what fraction they think is best:)

for example: i like the american grenadier but hate the brit grenadier, love canadian sniper and marksman, love the brit combat engineer. i HATE the russian hat kit and also the lat kit where its just impossible to aim because the iron sites for the thing are as complicated as wiring a rocket. im guessing chris will say sniper so chris, please, anything but sniper

I'll use any kits that are equipped with the following:

SA80 IRONSIGHTS
G3A2 AIMPOINT

AKS-74U is a beast in CQB.

my 2 best kits ate timberwolf and AKS-74U

M4/M16 Holo for any CQB - i tend to use it on single shot rather than 3rb though.

and long range, LSW (brit marksman), that thing is the tits, SO accurate if prone and deployed!! (plus you get auto!!!!)

And for normal use, anyACOG M4/M16

and for taliban/insurgent I just go with which ever kit gives me RKG3 grenades

Unscoped SVD for CQB, if not availeble AK47.
G3/AK for everything else. From the weapons not yet ingame I would choose RK62/RK95TP(Which means "Assault rifle 95 Folding stock")

M4 Aimpoint, Fast target acquisition, easy to use, good size magazine, fair deviation, doesn't block most of the screen and 3 round burst conserves ammo quite well.

ANY kit/weapon used by the IDF (Seriously, everything rocks for them) or the German H&K G36.

MEC LMG (dunno the name)

US - M21 DMR or any unscoped assault rifle

MEC - MG3 unscoped or the G3

Ins & Tali - Sniper rifle, AK47, RPG but my favorite is still the ArtyIED kit

CH & CAN - Marksman rifle + AR from the CH

RUS - Sniper rifle or AK47 with/without scope

Chech Ins - The M60, any other weapon is crap.. hehe

GER - Don't think I like any of their kits...

G3 with a scope.

Although my bubble was burst somewhat when it was pointed out to me it's not as powerful as it looks

Oh and the PKM can be fun also.

And any kit with an RKG.

M4 with the Eotech sight (SL kit for USMC) is the clear winner for me.

Rest of credit goes to M21, M16 (any kind though I don't really like the looks of the red dot aimpoint) and AR-10.

Oh, and I love the Militia SKS (medic) rifle for its abilities. Looks fugly but shoots straight as an arrow.

Really loving the snipers atm.

ok weapons,

be fluid, for example on most insurgent maps the insurgent side doesn't expect you to come around a corner with a SA80 with iron sights on full auto, like wise as a bluefor you expect the insurgent to be relatively close before engaging so therefore as an insurgent anything with an ACOG will put both distance and surprise on your side.

these types of threads are interesting though (on a psychological scale) as most weapons in PR simply belong to a like for like class and underneath there 'skin' they are identical, e.g. all 5.56mm behave in virtually the same way except rate of fire (though most are the same on this parameter as well as the Bf2 engine only allows for two different settings, three if you count 3 round burst but strictly speaking that isn't rate of fire but a fire mode) likewise its the same for all other small arms groups.

rather than think about specific rifles think groups.

5.80mm (QZB though i would have thought this would have the same parameters as the 5.56mm stuff)

so what is left ? sighting systems and this is probably what people are really thinking about in this thread and as i've pointed out perhaps use what the enemy is least expecting.

very interesting speed. i actually totally agree and i didn't know the Sks was a short 7.62mm round i thought it was something smaller. i am actualy starting to use the snipers a lot more and also i've mostly been using the iron sights as i've found they are very affective for supression at long range if anything else and also they are very good for close range. i've also lost any feeling for triple shot as its difficult to work with and slow.
