UK Channel4 WW2 Documentory series

some of you would have probably missed this due to early Saturday night air time so i'll post the link here.

it's in 6 parts and it's pretty much old boys sitting and talking about their part in the European theatre during WW2.

the production team have accurately sauced film footage that relates to the memories of the veterans speaking, and as explained in the intro in each episode where the team couldn't find footage that met sufficient production values they reproduce the horrors of war using real weapons and slow motion photography to show what it was like to be anywhere near the realities of war.

episode 6 as a parent made me, well we won't go there hey....

at the moment episode 1 isn't available to view (probably either the series hasn't been archived into 4OD properly yet or is a temporary glitch)

this series is heartbreaking (be warned)
