Headset, need help

Hey guys

I got a Creative 5,1 headset with microphune USB

I use this for several months now but now it like ... broken?

My mic is not working, well it is.... basicly my speakers is my microphone... so if i play music and push to talk in TS u hear what i hear in my speakers, if i aay something, u dont hear that.
So if i listen music and i push to talk u hear the song, so its switched up. i tried drivers and it still does it...

Anyone know what happend???? plz help I NEED TO TALK OTHERWISE THERE IS NO REASON TO LIVE! :

Are you sure your recording device isnt set to stream mix?

Make sure your input device isnt set to your speakers

any directions u can giv ewhere i can find/changge these things...
i tried alot, nothing worked

kerrer, i speak dutch so i think ur PC is dutch aswel, give me the direction if u know what migh solve it

Haha, tough luck, I've got a english install ;D

Right click on your volume thingy in the notification area (bottom right of your screen) select something like "Opneem apparaten" / "Recording devices". Check that your microphone is working (it should show you the 'recording volume' when you talk into it.. at least with W7).
I'm not sure you can actually set your recording devices wrong, but it might be worth a shot..

I got a HS-950 USB Gaming Headset, i also got problems.. Everything is normal, but when i am on the forum i get a wind noise.. and when am in game after so long my sound goes crazy.. everyone sounds like aliens then it goes super slo-mo then like chipmunks,


WTF is this

USB headsets. Don't use them. If there's any power not earthed your USB will pick it up, failing that drivers clash with windows and software to power the USB


A true 5.1 had 3 audio jacks and one mic jack works properly then

well, it started with the pink and green plug, i got that first, then i decided to buy a USB headset sich solved the same problem, but now it started again, and btw i tried what u guys said bownty and kerre, but cant find anything... thx tho
