WARNING! Do not buy.

I bought a Gigabyte geforce GTX 560Ti yesterday and that was a big mistake!

that grafic card had some major issues and when I started to google it Im not alone. looks like every one who have a GTX 560 Ti from gigabyte have this problem.

nvidia kernel mode driver not responding and has recovered. thats the message you get when using that grafic card.


I did everything I could imagine that could help. reinstall OS, reinstall grafic drivers new and old. even those from the CD that use to suck. I even tried to use MSI afterburner but it didnt work..

the only thing I didnt do was the flash it. I didnt want to lose the warranty so thats why.

I was stuck with that grafic card about 6-7 hours yesterday and god I got so pissed about it. even wrote a angry mail to those I bought it from told them to not get more of those grafic cards from gigabyte. so now Im back to my old one :/ lucky me I can play every game with medium/high grafic anyway

GTX 560 Ti's are cracking cards, My GTX 470 gets Kernel Display crashes when I OC it too much, so flashing it would sort that if gigabyte have done an updated bios that usually fix errors like that. Just return the card and ask for a new one if you're scared of risking warranty!

Im going to return it on thursday and I will buy one from Asus instead there more reliable then Gigabyte when it comes to grafic cards.

Yeah, ASUS are a top brand. I'd get the DirectCUII Version is possible, it's a little more but the cooling for it is quality, only downside is it takes up one more "Slot" at the back of your computer as the cooling is a little large.

Yeah, if you can, definitely get the DirectCU version. It's bigger (think it's actually bigger than 2 PCI slots?), it's (a bit) more expensive but the cooling is just brilliant.

y its the DirectCU II. the one Im going to return was DirectCU II.

Re-flashed my Gigabyte one and it works fine...

dude ffs flash it. Its not hard. WHy waste all that time and effort for somthing that takes 2 mins. the chance of you bricking the card is very small. Unless you tunr off your PC in the few seconds it is loading the new BIOS your not going to do any thing wrong.
