*NwA*’s 3rd Birthday Party

4 days left, so is it going to be a scenario-driven event? I'd like to help if that's the case. I like helping organize things like this and it won't be the first time for me either!

(already have a scenario complete with its map and rules but I need to know we're doing this before I post more...)

Ok guys just to get back to reality, although the ideas are very good and would be good fun. What you have to remeber is that this will be a live public event. You know how dificult it is to do thses plans on training nights and it never works out as good as you think, now times that by x number of pubbers and your going to spend most of the night kicking people for not following some rules of the story.

I would still like to do some of these but on a password invite type night.

As for it being our 3rd b`day its a time for all *NwA* members, admins, special guests and pubbers to kick back and have some fun. Who do you think will enforce and restrict the kits explain the plans and who dose what. I think we need to save this for another time.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday, we need easy to admin fun things to do so we all get to relax and chill out with a few beers. We became great by doing what we do and doing it to a good standard. SO lets do that.

Maplist ideas I would also consider having the second server mumble only with some of the not to often played maps as they requier good team work. If some one comes into mumble then we kick none mumblers so mumble players get a spot. Should make playing some of the not to often played maps pritty epic.

Just and idea.

Could we do server 1 as a 'greatest hits' maplist and server 2 as the underplayed list?

Yerr i agree way 2 many people 2 control. We should 100% enforce mumble just for that weekend tho.

As for the maps, if every player is on mumble then stick in all the Big buggers that we rearly play?

Yamalia for Underplayed.. Jesus, I haven't played that in so long, and I haven't seen Seige at Ochamaria.. at least when I've been on. Iron Eagle too.. I've seen that once? Not sure if that's in rotation, I didn't know you had Burning Sands in rotation until last week, and now we play it commonly I'm well happy, but theres 3.

If you need inspiration here is all the maps and varients, I think that's up to 0.95 and not 0.97 though.

I dont know how you feel about giving away free slots but perhaps we could grant 3 total prizes of 3 months reserved slots for top score guy of each day or if you dont want to reset server stats perhaps we would play one round to determine that(-250 for death:>). And that would be CNC mode with ban on mortars and area attack with layout excluding cas as much as possible, no other rules than that. 1 fob - 1 objective and many ways to do it, with mumble enforced that could be something to remember.

Yamalia... since everybody wants it and it looks like long game on CNC.

Qinling or Kashan for something retro.

Silent Ealge for end or Shijia if we pray hard to gods of crashes.

I vote for Shijia and lots of Fool's Road (I have an SA-80 in the dense underbrush fetish).

Also some CnC but with admins forcing a proper commander for both sides to be selected at round start, and preventing round start if none have been selected by the time 3min countdown is up, and for him to be given a proper restart of the countdown once he's been situated so as to properly plan (at least as much as you can in 3 minutes).

I haven't done a PR event in a while. I'm excited.

Count me in lads. Al Basrah, maybe some less played maps like Kozelsk or Shija?

Are trans helis allowed to be used as recon vehicles in CNC? Spotting FOBs I mean.

Needs more Shijia. And there should be a requirement of COs for CnC. If ever a game mode needed a fascist at the top directing the team strategy its CnC.

I'd say no. Makes it way too easy.

yes tarra, choppers as recon are vital in CnC, but the pilots must also be very clued up as to everything that's going on, typically you should recon, do false drops, get in unseen when needed to, etc etc

also a commander is vital in this mode (as stated), realistically even a badish Cmdr is better than non.

what most people seem to not realise about CnC is that the no FOB bleed is really heavy, if your a squad leader and the main FOB has gone from mortars, arty, APC's etc you must stand there and make another one, run off / away from the responsibility and your team loses, simple (which is the simple reason why CnC is beyond most public games tbh)

a good CnC round is some of the best PR you can play imo.

server 2. I think server 2 needs a seeding map, because seeding on CnC and big AAS maps aren't really that great for the job.

Yesterday the server was empty all the time, max number of players was 3.

Yesterday was BF3 release day.
