Dragonfly INS, 26/08/11

Nice little round on Dragon fly last night. Showed that insurgents can effectively bring the battle to the Brits, none of this sitting around BS, waiting to get hit.

North West of the city, we picked up brits around the bunker and small cottage noth of city. We fire and manouvered, up to and flanked to the right, using cover effectively as we moved. We chased them off and then double backed to the south. Decided to lay an ambush for APCs, it wasn't long before our long march payed off - HAT round up the arris! From there, we nailed a FOB up in the hills North West of city. Finally we fell back and defended the southern cache, with a nice bit of room clearing, very nicely executed.

Well done to Deadly, Tallman, Lone and the randoms.

Aye was very nice gameplay around the NW of the city when I was there. Too bad my ingame VOIP packed in again.

I don't think we had to do a full squad respawn at any one point. Was a good use of smoke for the tactical withdrawals and also fantastic use of moving cover to cover in short sprints whilst others covered.

yer was fun thanks to filson to for taking out the apc at the first cache with us .

Good round that. Favourite moment was flanking that NW FOB: Well after you lot had given up on it, I managed sneak round to take out 3 guys before knifing the FOB. I pulled back and hid, then chucked a nade onto the 2 guys digging it back up, killed the one that survived and then took out another who was trying to stop my rampage before being shot myself.

Had to take a short break after that.

Some of the room clearing was quite fun. I my PPSh.
