I bought this game a while ago. I've got 1.0.6.1 on Steam.

I'm still not sure what to think of it. I like Minecraft, but this just seems a bit boring in comparison. There are however plenty more options with materials, crafting, combat, loot, monsters.. so yeah, it does have some appeal.

To be honest the game isn't that bad. It makes Minecraft look a bit more restrictive with mobs and loot. But Minecraft is more about being creative and shaping the world around you. Terraria is about having fun with epic loot like a lightsaber and fighting giant bosses and visiting dangerous locations like the dungeon or the corruption.

How the game starts is you only get a very basic set of tools and no armour, compared to the high-end stuff, that is a very harsh beginning.

Trailers don't do justice to this game, you need to play it to see how it is.
I would almost would say the same thing about Minecraft but the guys that Mojang got to do the trailers are pretty funny and original.

Apparently you never played Worms series to know how fun game like this can be...

Oh I've seen enough video's of Terraria. Some of my favourite 'Let's Play' people also have video's of it. Maybe i'll give it a shot

My little lad playes it alot him and his mates are big in the PvP world. He could show you a few things.

Sometimes I don't watch the let's play because of the but because of the caster. There are some good people out there.
