Bang's PR Promo Video
Hi all,
I'm having a go at editing together an un-official 60 second vid for PR. I was hoping to splice in some recordings you guys have made. You know the stuff, dynamic action, Helos, fighting, that kinda thing.
If you'd like to donate, I'll happily put your game names in the end credits. Simply add a link to a hosting site and I'll download from there.
Many thanks in advance.

Re: Bang's PR Promo Video
Fraps, Xfire, Steam.. ...they'll do it.
I'm sure the wizkids on the forum can offer a better alternative though!

Fraps is the best but uses ALOT of HDD space and will need to be encoded afterwards (this can take ages depending how long you record for)
Xfire is good, in that it encodes as it records and uploads straight to your profile, so much less hassle.
Never used steam for recording

Depends what you want Kop.
XFire's record function is nice, but it's quality is terrible.
If I record with my full resolution of 1680*1050, and 30 FPS (standard) it takes about 2.5GB per minute of recording, but with perfect quality.
After that, you have to encode it with tools like Sony Vegas, or Adobe Premiere or whatever, to make it smaller. In the end, a video of about 20 minutes will be around 1GB with still reasonable quality. Xfire can suck that , but it does require a LOT more time to process everything.

Re: Bang's PR Promo Video
I use Xsplit for my screen recordings, although it doesnt seem to like it when BF2 starts.
Right now it should be free, so if you get it and disable internet connectivity....
Also, it appears some versions dont work or record at all, so you may need to find an older version of it.
Records into .flv with .mp3 sound, can take in standard speakers + microphone, and you can have multiple things on screen at any time.
