No you dont need a licence anyone is free to host a server

FH2 is a really nice mod I have to say.
I have played a few of the older versions every now and then when I have had the chance and I have to say I enjoy it every time. Its sort of more realistic than vanilla BF2 but nowhere near as realistic as PR so theres alot more killing but its not what I would call spammy either.

Theres also a shedload of maps and vehicles. The desert maps are particularly nice, Theres a few with huge layered defense lines with trenches and AT guns and one team attacks and the other defends etc.

All in all real nice mod, nice maps and makes a refreshing break from PR every now and then.

Good review lone id agree 100% i have played FH2 for years i played FH1 on 1942 also

its a nice change of pace from PR but still has some aspects of realism

Ok guys the plan is for us to all down load it who wants to obviously and we will all play and see what its like ie stability, game play and longevity ..

then if its ok we may put up a server so keep all ya coments coming and we will see how it goes .

stability wise i have never seen a FH2 server crash nor i have i ever crashed to desktop but thats just me.

Also, unless they have changed it, FH2 still uses the old school BF2 tank style where you are the driver AND gunner which takes some time to get used to after playing PR for a while.

Been playing this all day ive got to say its great fun to play and would highly recommend everyone plays it.

Hell, even the 126 servers are stable. Providing we only do the 64-player server, I'm totally up for joining you lot.. Now, GTFO away from my Sherman Firefly VC!

I like the mod, I'd call it semi-realistic. There is a definite trap of just run-and-gunning. Try to keep a cool mind and use tactics. They pay off!
Also I like the 2.2 Axis teaser more. I don't know why but its more in the lines of how I would make a trailer. A f*ckton of German troops and panzers coming out of nowhere!
