Re: BF1943 - wow
I dont think that this game has a ranking system. I know it has less kits than that of bf2.
Will give it a go, It all rides on the the game play.

Re: BF1943 - wow
I think the game play wont be the problem..............its biggest problem is its only been released with 3 Maps
Ive been looking forward to this for Months........lost hart with BF2 at this stage so hopefull it will keep me interested for a while. ARMA is nother excellent game to look out for.........mega PC required though
1943 will be out end of June for xbox, September for the PC.

Re: BF1943 - wow
Wonder if my system could handle it, it's kinda out dated xD right now I have uhh, 2gb of ram ddr2, 8600gt ddr3... but the worst thing about my system is it's processor >.< it's a amd 3800+ but, it's only a single core running at 2.4 ghz. any insight on how it will run would be great =]

Infinite ammo and spawn wherever you want....interesting. Seems they're really going for fast pacing.

Re: BF1943 - wow
I gave the demo a whirl on the Xbox version...yeah yeah i know FPS with a gamepad...tut tut.
It feels very much like BF1942 but with destructability and a little bit less customisation (saying this I only played for a day).
I guess you can see what DICE/EA are pushing for as its in the Xbox Arcade area. So I think the game is aimed towards playing for an hour or so at a time rather than being a bit more hardcore like BF2. I couldn't get much teamwork going either which was a shame. This obviously would be different in a clan situation. On a whole I thought it was very fun to play but compared to the back catalogue and options available in previous BF games it felt restrictive and simplied for the masses. Also at £15...if that is the confirmed price, Is that a good deal for 3 maps and 3 class choices when a full PC game is £24.99 at the most these days? i don't know, personally I'd pay the 24 for a game that had 5-6 classes with fully upgradable, customisable kit and a host of different maps.
I understand their approach, as can be seen with Battlefield Heroes too, but I just hope BF3 will be a full game containing a larger variety of maps, game modes etc. I know EA have argued piracy etc has crippled some of their larger titles in the past in the past but with BF you need a legit copy to play online, so a full title is still a viable option.
Atleast with the PC version we should get a lot of custom maps and mods. However, I am worried that they will restrict this as much as possible so that EA/DICE can release maps and new classes for a micro transaction fee and in the long run make a bit more cash from it, which is fair enough I guess.
