How many of you use joy sticks? And which one do you use if you do

As im learning to fly ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1VQ_3sBZEm0 ) but i find using the keyboard abit annoying especially when making corrections / balancing the speed when landing

Any help would be nice

The more you practice the better you get.

Helis I use stick Jets I dont fly as cannot be arsed putting the hours to learn to land. Give me a flight sim and I can fly any thing and stick the landing even better if it has autopilot and ILS but PR no chance. Get a a certain speed and it drops like a lead brick.

Im using keyboard and mouse and so far that goes awesome. Sometimes I just get into a training server and practice some landings and supply drops. I got a joystick never use it tho

Old Stick: Logitech Attack 3
New Stick: Saitek Cyborg X

Practice makes perfect dude, practice on a training server with mouse/keyboard or do as I do, USE A JOYSTICK with Throttle, makes it a lot easier flying.
I cant fly a plane or a heli for that mater, without my stick, it just doesn't "compute" aka I keep crashing the damn things so, no stick, no flyin' for me. :p

I gotta cyborg x, could never get PR to recognise the throttle!! Any hints master?

i got a cyborg aswell...no probs...something broken?

Have a Saitek Cyborg Force, it was great, i got way more control out of choppers than with the mouse, but i think i broke the rudder spring (oops)

Mouse and keyboard FTW in choppers!! You will get more control and better reactions trhan u ever will with penis with buttons on it.

As for jets..................................nuff said

Download and install the latest driver and program for the stick and try again.

Cheers guys , I have improved quite abit this evening , Just need to touch up on a few things and sort the sense out then i should be good to go flying server side :O

Tryed to fly a huey with me stick with masterG and Raaaaged after 2 crashes.

keyboard for helies and saitel rumble pad for the jets ...

musta been a conflict somewhere, on my latest reinstall of life*ahem* Computer, it all seems to work ok, and the stick works for helis now so all is well... means i can crahs even quicker now

I think im ready for proper server flying now + CAS

I think the bots i was playing against have more skills then normal players

I also got my buddy playing this who has been flying flight sims since they ever started , He picked up flying jets in about 5 mins

Flew in my first proper game using the Kiowa , Got praised by my co-pilot for good flying

Only keyboard for both choppers and jets.

Nice one john! i flew a trans once, a huey, so its like putting on slippers but still made it, landed, got bck out again, sound!

Mouse and key for helis like most ppl have said and you might be able to get away with mouse and key for a bomber (A10 - Frogfoot) but fighter jets you got no chance you will always get outmaneuvered by a player using a joystick

I think joysticks just give you a smoother flight..
