CS: Global Offensive

Anyone got/getting this? Had a decent play yesterday and realised how much I enjoy counter strike, beautifully simple, yet never repetitive. No run n' gun call of duty crap, good old fashioned team tactics win the round. Played classic competitive mode, on de_nuke losing really badly. I tell everyone to go the same way, we steam roll through to B and win every round from then. Had a really good time. Lovvi joined me for a bit, but he's an AWP nub so yea....

I don't have the money at the moment to pick it up. This is looking like a Black Friday sale game for me.

is it a new one or a mod for them old ones , ?

I believe it's a brand new game.

its 'new'. but it's still on the source engine. it plays a bit different to source and takes some getting used to. its only a tenner at the moment zach!

Will probly get it, I was a demon on CSS back in the day.

It's less than 10 euros and it's going to be the next big thing in competitive gaming, why not buy it?
It looks way better than CS:S anyway.

I used to play a lot of CS 1.6 and have been awaiting this one ever since they announced it. About the run and gun part? It really depends which game mode you're playing

Classic competitive ftw. Gun game is fun and all but its done wrong. You start on SMGs, and pistols are at the end. WTF. I'll wait for community modded gun game

Not as a built in game mode but im sure someone will mod it after release

scotty the beta is for a week the full release is very soon. in 4 days actually

I read that it would have two modes: one where you go up in power, and one where you reduce in power.

Just jumped on had a few games with capitan, just like the good old days! no more PR for me.

I played cs 1.6 and css and now i got the beta key 1 month ago its a good game not for realistic as in hardcore fps like cod it is just for quick kills and people to go rambo. But now the pre order is out and you get early access beta so go go go!

For all your questions regarding the game modes, All game modes are there and also different such as gun game and demolition. and the maps have changed to, Scouts and knives + surf are also in this game and they are releasing ba_jail.

I played my first scrim yesterday with the EGO Crew and it is better now because they have dedicated a game mode just for competitive scrim. Which could be useful if you guys were to start a scrim up with another clan.

This game is pure tactics mate! last night me and Cap was on a server with a few UKFD? lads and as T's we won 9 nil with pure teamwork! then as CT's we planned defence and owned that!

- Game is awesome! didn't take me long at all to get to grips with it again. One thing I am shocked to see tho!!! no silenced m4?

Alright. So I decided to buy the game. Pretty decent. It still is Counterstrike. Though I bought CS:S to play Zombie Mod with a friend of mine. Back in the golden age of gaming.

capitan buy scrpts explain to me

i have my numpad set up to buy everything i need without opening the buy menu, i'll post up the script later.

theres a file somewhere (...csgo/cfg/autoexec.cfg) that you paste things into and it will be run when the game is started (at the moment autoexec doesn't automatically run so you will need to run it everytime you start the game - in console type "exec autoexec"

you can get this script to do whatever you want, mine turns off game hints and sets my crosshair to a small red dot instead of a green cross as well

snippers was kind enough to change the steam group tag to NwA, so set it in your options. cheers snips
