My harddrive failed on me this morning got a new one installed but having a few issues installing windows it shows the drive and the free space but won't allow me to select it to install the OS on so I'm confuzled and trying to fix the issue

I have 2 but main one was 250 gb and second was 40 that I used for fraps

you have to unplug all the hardrives your dont need while installing windows 7 then I think you should be able to choose drive because its only 1.

did you set it in the first sata port?

Do you need to format it first? Set partitions, windows will do this for you but you need to tell it. Rather than click install OS.

Also what size is the drive you are using?

Its just an 80 gig drive I picked up today for 15 quid so I could get my pc running intill I can afford a solid state tryed to format again and it is done in like 5secs

right im semi functional still wont boot on its own though it has a NTLDR error when i try boot from install have installed on 2 different drives and same is happeneing on both so i guess it may be an issue with Cmos so i will remove the battery later and reset the fooker
