I want to do basic editing since uploading a three hour video will take approximately 15 hours. Any ideas?

If you really must, you can use the standard Windows Movie Maker.

The best you can do is to encode your FRAPS files with the h.264 codec to the mp4 format. This will make you keep your video quality, yet still shrink the size significantly. I just don't know if Windows Movie maker can do that.
