PR - Huge font on 1920x1080

Just bought me a new 27 inch monitor. Everything works fine except for PR.

I set the resolution to 1920x1080 (the monitor's standard/max resolution) and the graphics in PR work great.

Except for the font size. All/team/squad chat is bloody huge and so is all text in the main menu.



More people having this issue? Or is it some kind of bug?

do you have the latest Grafic card drivers?

Sandert, switching resolution from lower to higher causes your font size to dramatically increase if you don't clear out your BF2 cache. I know this problem since for me, I installed the game and started out with 860 x 600, then switched to 1200x1000 (something like that) and the font sizes were huge. Clearing out the cache helped me. It is located in Your own files -> Battlefield 2 -> mods -> bf2 -> cache -> DELETE everything from there

Never had problem with 1920x1080, but that was a clean install. I'd follow Bemetson's tip

Didn't work. Might try to reinstall whenever I feel like it.



Funny thing is is that the screenshots I took for comparison don't look that bad. But ingame it feels pretty horrible.

try deleting your bf2 cache

use it every time you change any setting
use it anytime a new patch comes out
use it anytime you get any graphic anomalies
use it if your server screen takes ages to load up
