"Disconnected from Server"

The message in the title has recently started appearing, I would be in the server, then about 1-2 minutes later, get kicked with the message "Disconnected From Server", my internet is fine, TS3, Mumble And Xfire all remain connected throughout.

Probably worth mentioning this doesnt happen on websites, only BF2 and other Online game servers.

check your system firewall is allowing bf2 through i was having the same problem when i updated last week

Everytime u start the game , or lose connection redo those steps

That hasnt got it, ill check my firewall to see if its blocking it.

Reinstall of BF2, SF, 1.41, 1.5 and PR didnt solve it

Does it happen on Steam games to.?

Q when you get kicked do you go back to server list screen or the pre-registration screen ?

Q when you get kicked what does your ping time look like ?

clean out your files with this but will also be usefull for the next thing

create a new account (new email address and name etc) and see if that account works.

some other things to think on;

has your comp a virus ?

most likely thing thats gets you disconnected is packet loss to the server (game or EA) so certain things to look for could be, is your wireless system being piggie backed ? (for instance) is there an X-box Dl'ing in the background, is the missus using her laptop????

Steam games are not affected,

I get sent to the server selection screen with the disconnection message in a box, Im not sure what ping looks like but I believe its constantly average.

The BF2 Cleaner didnt seem to have much effect, Ill try an account.

Account still got disconnected, but lasted longer than older accounts.

There is one other PC using the wireless box, and The Xbox is not on when I am playing PR. I did pick up a virus from a Java ActiveX control, it looked like a Trojan and some other bugs, they were quarantined, cleaned and removed however.

And Wireless is Passworded, but even so, when I go

Gateway -> Router -> Computer
Instead of
Gateway -> Router -> Wireless box -> Computer

I also stress I am never on purely a wireless, the wireless box is exclusively for another PC, i just happen to have it, I always have a wire trailing to my PC from the Gateway, across 3 or 4 stops

You could try running PR through steam like Stealth does.?

Vanilla is..working fine..?
Steam didnt seem to like running PR either
